Dealers need a quick way to add standard office/admin tasks to a project without cluttering the field plan

The need

Every project carries recurring back-office work — set up the client in accounting, kick off billing, create the security account — that isn't field work and doesn't belong on the installers' project plan. Teams want a fast way to drop a standard set of these office/admin to-dos onto a project so nothing's forgotten, without muddying the field/product task list.

Why this matters

Mixing admin chores into the field plan makes the plan noisier and the real install work harder to see. A reusable office/admin checklist applied per project keeps that work tracked and consistent across jobs while the plan stays focused on field execution.

Open questions

  • Extend the existing To-Do template (today it only carries checklist items) so a template can spin up multiple To-Dos on a project?
  • Apply on demand, or auto-apply per project / project-type?
  • Assignment and defaults for the generated to-dos?
  • Relationship to the office/field task tag (a complementary way to separate admin from field).

Possible directions

Exploratory, not commitments.

  • A project-level ‘apply office/admin template’ that creates a standard set of To-Dos.
  • Templated To-Do sets by project type.
