Seperate Parts Category

I'm sure many of your customers are working with Vital.

They recommend categorizing your proposals and all items into three categories: Products, Labor, and Parts, for benchmarking purposes. The parts category includes things like Cables, Consumables, etc.

Having a Product, Labor, Parts breakdown would really help a lot of us fine-tune our proposals. Bonus points for allowing us to designate an adjustment to the parts category.

Hi @Guest a couple of questions to make sure we build the right thing. When you say a Products / Labor / Parts breakdown: (1) is this mainly about how totals are grouped on the proposal the client sees, about internal benchmarking reports, or both? (2) Would "Parts" be determined by which category an item is in (e.g., everything under Cables/Consumables), or would you want to tag individual items as Parts? (3) For the "adjustment to the parts category" — is that a markup/margin adjustment applied to everything counted as Parts? Understanding how Vital expects these numbers will help us match it.
