"Pop-Up Notes" Feature

Project notes can become lengthy, especially when a project spans a year or more. At a previous company, we used a "Pop-Up Note" feature that displayed an important note as soon as the project was opened. On the Notes page, any note designated as a Pop-Up Note appeared at the top of the list in red, making it easy to identify and reference.

I believe a similar feature would be a valuable improvement. It would be especially useful for critical information that everyone working on the project should see immediately, such as billing instructions, who should be invoiced, or unique project circumstances that may not come up regularly but must always be kept in mind.

I understand that we currently have the @ mention feature. However, nearly every program we use includes some form of @ notifications. Between D-Tools, QuickBooks, and Conversations (which we use with our after-hours service partner), we receive a constant stream of notifications. As a result, important messages can easily get buried or overlooked.

In many ways, we are over-communicating in an effort to make important information stand out. Ironically, when everything is highlighted, the items that truly require attention no longer stand out.

A dedicated Pop-Up Note would ensure that critical project information is presented prominently every time a project is opened, reducing the chance of important details being missed and improving overall communication and efficiency.
