Add Activity History "Project Archived" and "Project Unarchived" to Project Activity / History Logs

General & Project Management - "Project Archived" Activity History

Description: Please add an activity log event whenever a project is moved to the archive or unarchived. Currently, these actions are not tracked in the project's history or activity feed.

The Problem: Recently, one of my active projects was tossed into the archive by another team member. Because there is no record of this action in the activity history, I have no way of knowing who did it or when it happened. This makes it impossible to track down whether the project was archived intentionally or accidentally.

Why This Matters:

  • Accountability: Admins and project managers need visibility into who is changing project statuses.

  • Error Correction: If a project vanishes into the archive, knowing who did it allows us to follow up and prevent the mistake from happening again.

  • Audit Trail: Archiving a project is a major state change and should be treated with the same level of tracking as adding a team member or changing a project phase.

Adding a simple log entry (e.g., "John Doe archived this project on [Date]") would completely solve this blind spot and give us the transparency we need to manage our workspaces effectively.
