I’m a D-Tools Cloud user and rely heavily on the platform for quoting multi-room audio, structured cabling, and security packages. I’m reaching out with a feature request that would significantly improve efficiency when building proposals.
Currently, when creating packages, the system groups all items together rather than allowing a clear primary product with accessories nested underneath it (similar to a parent/child structure). This makes it difficult to:
- Customize labor hours per item within a package
- Maintain a clean hierarchy (e.g., Sonos Amp as primary with speakers, subwoofer, and labor as accessories)
- Quickly duplicate structured system bundles across multiple rooms
- Keep proposals visually organized and scalable
It would be extremely helpful to have a package-building feature that allows:
1. A designated primary item
2. Nested accessories under that primary item
3. Individual labor customization per component
4. The ability to duplicate the entire structured package while preserving hierarchy
This enhancement would greatly streamline quoting workflows for integrators like us who frequently repeat standardized room packages across projects.
