Run takeoffs on an imported floor plan: recognize rooms and their areas, recognize device symbols and count them by type and room, and send the counts to the quote as line items with labor calculated from the counts. Let users place devices on the plan where they belong and calculate wire runs and lengths from those placements.
Estimators on commercial bids do this in separate takeoff tools today before they can price the job. Vote and comment if you price jobs from architect or engineer plans.
